Who We Are

YOUth POWER is an inspiring, experiential, and creative platform for Youth to be able to learn about the various career, employment, and education opportunities and services available to them.  YOUth POWER is a Government of Alberta career event in partnership with PlanIt Sound Inc. supported by the following community partners and board members: Children & Youth Services (CYS),  Community and Social Services, and several local youth-serving agencies including: REACH Edmonton, YOUCAN, McMan, Boys & Girls Club, Big Sisters, Big Brothers, EmployAbilities, Edmonton Mennonite Centre for New Comers,  iHuman and Chimo Youth Retreat Centre.

The main objective of this event is to promote the availability of career, employment, and education information and services for Youth.

Target Audience

The primary target group is youth 14-25 years of age who are interested in exploring the availability of career, employment, education information and services, with a unique specialization for youth aged 14-25 who may be aboriginal, immigrants, First Nations people, single parents, people with disabilities, people dealing with challenges related to housing, addictions, mental health, and past trauma and people who are or have been involved in Community and Social Services programs and services.
